The Brief:
Peniel CP, a primary school in Carmarthenshire, was looking to reduce their carbon footprint and move towards a greener future by implementing renewable energy solutions. They were in need of a reliable and efficient solar PV system that would help them reduce their electricity costs and minimise their environmental impact.
The Solution:
Solar Save Renewables was engaged to design and install a solar PV system for Peniel CP. After careful consideration of the school's energy consumption patterns, building design, and available roof space, Solar Save proposed a solution consisting of 100 x 405W integrated in-roof panels. The system was paired with a Solar Edge system to optimize energy production and efficiency. With a total power capacity of 40.50 kWp, the PV system was expected to generate 35.52 MWh of clean electricity annually, significantly reducing the school's reliance on grid electricity. Additionally, the system was projected to save 6.78 tons of CO2 emissions each year, equivalent to planting 311 trees annually.
