The Brief:
2kWp small residential Solar photovoltaic (PV) system with microinverters in the city centre of Cardiff.
This customer approached us as they had limited space on their roof, but they wanted to explore the possibility of having small solar photovoltaic system. They specifically asked us to use just one side of the roof. The property was situated in Cardiff's city centre, requiring an installation that had minimal visual impact while still being capable of meeting the energy needs of the family.
The Solution:
Small residential Solar photovoltaic (PV) system with microinverters in the city centre of Cardiff.
We have designed a 2kWp system, consisting of 5 solar panels. However, to optimise the system's energy production, we have incorporated Microinverters during the installation process. This allows for the maximum utilisation of the system's output.
To optimise solar production, each panel is equipped with its own individual Microinverter. This innovative approach ensures that the system can fully maximise its energy output.
Moreover, the Microinverters also use a Burst Mode technology that effectively captures additional energy during low-light situations caused by shadows or clouds. This breakthrough feature enhances the system's performance in challenging environmental conditions.
Another notable advantage of utilising Microinverters is that the homeowner can conveniently track and monitor all import and export data through their mobile phone.
