





Our partnership with Stables Wellbeing goes back a few years, and we were thrilled when they asked us to design and install solar panels for their business. Located in the beautiful village of Trapp, Llandeilo, Stables Wellbeing is a well-known yoga and wellness retreat with a strong focus on sustainability and rural life. The retreat, celebrated for its holistic approach to wellness, sought to reduce its environmental impact while ensuring a comfortable and energy-efficient space for its visitors.
This collaboration between two local, family-owned businesses – Solar Save Renewables and Stables Wellbeing – made the project particularly special. As both businesses share a commitment to the local community and sustainability, the connection came naturally. At Solar Save Renewables, we designed a 5.22kWp solar PV system, complete with advanced battery storage technology, to help Stables Wellbeing meet its energy needs while reducing its carbon footprint.

Solar Save Renewables installed a high-performance 5.22kWp solar PV system using JA solar panels, which are known for their exceptional efficiency and reliability in harnessing solar energy. These high-quality panels were specifically chosen for their ability to perform well even in less-than-ideal weather conditions, making them a perfect fit for Stables Wellbeing's location in rural Wales, where light levels can fluctuate throughout the year.
To complement the solar panels, we integrated advanced battery storage technology into the system. This combination of solar generation and energy storage allows Stables Wellbeing to store excess solar energy generated during the day for use when sunlight is limited, such as in the evening, at night, or on cloudy days. The battery storage system not only ensures a continuous and reliable power supply but also maximises the use of the energy generated on-site, reducing the need for grid electricity and ultimately lowering operational costs.
The system was carefully designed to match the specific energy demands of the retreat centre, which includes providing power for the yoga studios, accommodation facilities, lighting, heating, and other essential operations. By optimising the energy capture and storage process, we ensured that the solar PV system was tailored to meet the centre’s peak energy demand while maintaining efficiency across all hours of the day.
Additionally, the solar energy system is equipped with real-time monitoring capabilities, allowing both Stables Wellbeing and Solar Save Renewables to track energy production and consumption. This system monitoring ensures that the system operates at peak performance and provides ongoing support to address any maintenance needs swiftly.
